Course 1: Trauma Basics for Youth Workers
Learn the basics for incorporating trauma-informed care into your work with young people. Whether you’re an educator, therapist, counselor, mentor, or other youth worker, this course will help you work skillfully with youth via a trauma-informed lens. This 2-hour course is free, completely online, and self-paced (you can login and complete at your own leisure).
Course 2: Trauma-Informed Care for Professionals Working with Youth
Trauma-Informed Care for Professionals Working with Youth is a completely online, semi self-paced, and affordable course designed to teach education, mental health, probation, and any other professionals working with young people the basics of a trauma-informed approach: What trauma is, how to identify it, and some basic action steps to engage trauma skillfully. This course is 4-weeks long with a start and stop date, and a 2-week grace period to fulfill all requirements (all lessons, quizzes, and evaluations) to get a certificate of completion.
Course 3: Advanced Trauma-Informed Care Toolkit for Youth Workers
The Advanced Trauma-Informed Care Toolkit for Youth Workers is a completely online and semi self-paced course designed to teach education, mental health, probation, and any other professionals working with young people advanced techniques and actionable skills regarding trauma-informed care with youth roughly aged 10-25. This training is a “level 2” training the follows the introductory course: Trauma-Informed Care for Professionals Working with Youth. For this first cohort, the introductory course is not a pre-requisite and anyone can sign up, with the understanding that many concepts will be referenced from it. This course is 8 weeks long with a start and stop date, and a 2-week grace period to fulfill all requirements (all lessons, quizzes, and evaluations) to get a certificate of completion.
